Situated in the centre of Winterton-on-Sea, Home Cottage is a cosy cottage with a small garden making it an ideal holiday destination for a couple or a small family. Directly opposite is the Post Office, which is also home to Poppy’s Café. The café boasts homemade cakes, pastries and a variety of coffee and teas. And right next door to the café is the local fish & chip shop. If it’s lunch or dinner you’re looking for, then the Fisherman’s Return Pub is just around the corner, and the ever-changing beach is just a five-minute walk away.

From the entrance porch, you’ll enter an open-plan lounge/diner. The lounge has a comfy sofa and two armchairs surrounding a smart TV. There is an open fireplace to keep you cosy on those chilly evenings. A starter pack of firewood is provided at no additional charge. The dining area has a table with 2 benches.... although during the summer, you might prefer to eat outside in the enclosed patio.

The kitchen is well-equipped with all the cooking utensils, dinnerware, and modern appliances, including a washing machine. To complete the ground floor amenities, there is a small downstairs WC off from the lounge.

Upstairs, you will find the master bedroom, which has a double bed and offers a unique view of the village loke. There is also a twin bedroom and a spacious family bathroom with a bath, shower enclosure, and WC.

The property also has an enclosed patio area with a table and chairs; a veritable suntrap in the summer, which is accessed through the back door in the kitchen or down the side of the property. And as mentioned above, there is also a lovely small south-facing garden to the front of the property and private off-road parking to the front of the property for two cars.

Home Cottage welcomes one well-behaved dog for a small charge of £20 per stay, and doggy towels are provided in the entrance porch for your use.

Winterton-on-Sea is a coastal Norfolk village with plenty of walking trails, including the dunes and the beach. The village is located a short distance from Horsey Gap where during pupping season, the beaches are covered with grey seals. If you wish to travel further afield, Great Yarmouth is 8 miles, while Norwich is 22.5 miles.
