New to Norfolk By The Sea - One-Way Cottage, Ingham, North Norfolk

Located in the idyllic and peaceful village of Ingham, this is the perfect holiday base for coastal and countryside travellers alike.

Upon entering to this truly charming cottage via the front door, you will find yourself in a small, bright hallway which immediately leads through to the stylish kitchen/diner; brimming with character, a brick & stone feature wall and has all the modern electrical conveniences Norfolk By The Sea is known for. No need to cart along your pots and pans as the kitchen is fully kitted out with everything you need to make that gourmet meal. A light snack or dinner can be served up at the dining table which has enough seating for four guests. The WC is right off the kitchen/diner.

Leaving the kitchen, you’ll enter the cosy lounge with an Inglenook ‘fireplace’ and rustic wooden beams. There you’ll find a comfortable sofa and armchair, making this the perfect place to relax those tired legs, fire up the wood burner and watch your favourite show or movie on the Smart TV. A shower/utility room with a washing machine and drying rack are located off the lounge.

A short, narrow staircase leads you to a small landing area perfect for storing luggage, and then onto the airy master king-size bedroom which is well equipped with ample wardrobe storage, full-length mirror, and Smart TV. Besides the spacious master bedroom, you will also find a light, yet cosy second bedroom with a small double bed which is best suited to a couple, a single adult, or two children who are happy to share. This room is furnished with a chest of drawers and Smart TV.

From the lounge, head outside to the enclosed cottage garden, a veritable sun trap, which is part shingle/part patio. There is a bistro style table and chairs should you wish to enjoy some al fresco style dining, as well two deck chairs to soak up some rays, sip on some cocktails and read that next great book. The pleasant view and high-walled garden make the hiring of a hot tub a very attractive thought.

As with all our other properties, One-Way Cottage is perfectly dog friendly for up to two well-behaved pooches. There is also private off-road parking for two cars, located directly opposite the cottage.

Whether you choose to simply relax or use the cottage as your base, either way, a stay at One-Way Cottage will be a delight with its rustic beams throughout and quaint cottage charms.

How To Find Us

One-Way Cottage, The Loke, Ingham Corner, Norwich, North Norfolk NR12 0TF

From the A149, turn onto Moor Rd, Sutton and drive for 0.1mile. At Old Yarmouth Road, turn left and travel for 256ft to Rectory Rd. From here, your destination is only about 6 minutes away. Turn right and proceed to Church Road, veering left onto it. Keep right to continue on Ingham Road/Mill Road. Continue straight, past The Ingham Swan and onto Long Lane. At the junction of Long Lane, Water Lane and Ingham Corner Road, turn left onto The Loke. One-Way Cottage will be on your left.

Ingham is the ideally located for discovering the beautiful Norfolk Coast and the Norfolk Broads, plus we can even offer you a free parking space in the Winterton-On-Sea beach carpark should, you wish to visit for the day!

The village of Ingham is home to The Ingham Swan, a popular gastro pub which is definitely worth a visit. The original building was built in the 14th century as part of Ingham Priory. Today, the Ingham Swan sits nestled by Holy Trinity Church, providing a tranquil view while enjoying a meal or just a pint in the spacious beer garden.

With over hundreds of miles of roads in North Norfolk, cyclists can cycle the country lanes to vast stretches of sandy beaches at Eccles-on-Sea, just two miles away or you can try the Norfolk Coast Cycleway, covering fifty-nine miles of coast from Great Yarmouth to Kings Lynn.

If cycling doesn’t appeal, there are many footpaths and trails throughout the area for hikers too. Within walking distance to the cottage is The Star Inn at Lessingham. Less than a mile walk, the pub’s main feature is the huge inglenook fireplace with wood-burning stove which is alight during the winter months. The Inn is a free house and has a restaurant.

Or perhaps a drive to Happisburgh with its striped lighthouse and glorious sandy beach is more appealing. If it’s seals your looking for, then a visit to Sea Palling is just three miles away and the truly wonderful Norfolk Broads can be easily reached for day boat hire, exploring the waterways, and enjoying the wildlife. A little further afield, but worth a visit is the fine city of Norwich with its theatres, museums, cathedrals, shops, restaurants, and nightlife.

Prices listed are for a 7-night period from 4.00pm on the day of arrival and with checkout being 9.30am on the day of departure.

Short breaks are welcomed at the following rates:

1-3 nights are priced at 80% of the weekly stay
4 nights are priced at 90% of the weekly stay
5 nights are priced at 95% of the weekly stay
6 nights are charged at a weekly rate
