Cobble Barn - Hickling

Placeholder Picture

When you arrive at this stylish barn conversion you enter the property straight into the spacious, beamed lounge. With a wonderful country feel, it has two sofas and a comfy chair to help you to relax while the wood burner crackles away and you put your feet up in front of the TV.

The beautiful high spec kitchen/diner is located just off the lounge and here you will find modern and well-equipped kitchen. The many mod cons include an electric oven and hob, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, fridge with ice compartment and a dishwasher. From the kitchen and before you reach the stairs there is a ground floor utility room where you have the use of a washer/dryer and the added convenience of a separate WC.

It doesn’t end there! The downstairs also comprises of a snug/games room which has another TV, an Xbox one and bean bags.

Heading upstairs to the first floor, you come to the master king-size bedroom which has ample storage space and an en-suite shower room with WC. The shower is spectacular and the bathroom brings upstairs the country cottage feel, with exposed brick and more beams!

Next we come to the double bedroom, again with storage space for your belongings. Finally, we have the twin room. Completing the first floor, is the family bathroom with shower over a beautiful free standing roll top bath, again with WC.

With its exposed brickwork and beams, the whole place gives a luxurious and contemporary glimpse into the country lifestyle. Just perfect for you and your family to rest, relax and have some fun. When we venture outside we are greeted with a large enclosed garden, offering you the perfect place to soak up some rays and enjoy some al fresco dining with the brick built BBQ (Charcoal not provided). In the sunnier weather loungers along with a table, chairs and a parasol are provided for your comfort. There is off-road parking on the large gravelled driveway for 2 cars. Although Cobble Barn is situated within a complex, it is the end of the row and boasts the privacy of a detached property!

Hickling

Hickling is a quaint village located on the edge of Hickling broad. With beautiful surroundings and wide open spaces it is the ideal location for a family and their furry friends to enjoy a relaxing holiday near the picturesque east coast of Norfolk.

Windsurfing is big on Hickling broad! While you’re at it why not try your hand at paddle boarding. For the more relaxing options you could take a boat ride on Hickling broad, taking in the beautiful scenery and hopefully catch a glimpse of some of the wonderful wildlife Hickling broad has to offer. That’s just in the village itself!

A little further afield you will find stunning lighthouses and windmills, the kind of buildings that make Norfolk so famous. You are able to access the Norfolk Broads via numerous different boat trips; from day boats, chartered tours to kayaks or canoes.

Being a coastal village there are many nearby beaches that make for the perfect stroll or tranquil spot for a picnic and a good book.

Norfolk has many desirable places to visit for wildlife, culture, entertainment and food or drink. If you are looking for a traditional seaside town, then close by you have Great Yarmouth with its pleasure beach that has something for everyone to enjoy.

You also have the market town of Stalham, a mere 3 miles away or the lovely village of Wroxham, known as the gateway to the broads. You can have a leisurely meal at Hotel Wroxham and watch the boats go by from a cosy fireside location in the winter or a riverside bench during the warmer days of the year. Or, take a short boat ride down the river on the paddle steamer.

The cathedral city of Norwich is another option for a day or two full of fun. You could take in a show at Norwich Theatre? Alternatively visit the museum of Norwich, Norwich castle or see what is going on at The Forum. There are many old fashioned little pubs hidden away on the cobbled streets of our beautiful city and no end of options for eating out. The market is a permanent fixture and there is a choice of two large shopping malls.
